Lúthien is the most beautiful girl ever born. Period. She's also the daughter of the king (you know, the crazy guy who yells at everyone and takes their money), so you'd best watch your step around her. You might never want your gaze to fall below her neck, either. Apparently it's a stockade-worthy offense.
Back in the Olden Days of Arda, Lúthien had a boyfriend named Beren. He was mortal and Daddy totally didn't like him. But Beren was a good guy so every time King Thingol set a ridiculous task for him to do, off he went and did it. Hey, she was the most beautiful chick in the world! Finally everything was happy and Lúthien and Beren lived a nice, short mortal life together, had a kid, and died. Thingol was not pleased.
Now, Lúthien is a perfectly happy, mostly healthy, somewhat mortal teenager living in Delving with her King Daddy and sometimes drunk Mom. She remembers Arda and her Mom and Dad and friends but... Beren who? All those memories seem to be missing. Strange that. Wonder how that could have possibly happened...
